This Privacy Policy explains how Darren Squashic LLC DBA Traverse Design(“Shop Vitals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Shop Vitals service at shopvitals.co (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. The email address and password you provide when you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see your plaintext password.
  • Site data you add. The URLs of the Shopify (or other) websites you choose to monitor, along with any labels or groupings you assign to them.
  • Performance data. PageSpeed Insights results and Core Web Vitals field data (such as LCP, INP, and CLS) that we retrieve from Google for the sites you add. This data describes the public performance of those websites and is associated with your account.
  • Usage and device data. Standard analytics such as pages visited, referring pages, browser type, approximate location, and similar diagnostic information, collected through the cookies and tools described below.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Run scheduled performance tests and display your results, history, and regression alerts;
  • Authenticate you and secure your account;
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it and fix problems;
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including support and important notices.

Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We also use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage. This tool may collect device and usage identifiers. If you are located in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies (such as the EU or UK), you may withhold or withdraw consent, and you can also block cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work as intended if you do.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your account and site data;
  • Vercel — application hosting and analytics;
  • Google — the PageSpeed Insights API, which measures the sites you add.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

Data retention

We retain your account and performance data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account information and associated site and performance data, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information at any time from your account settings, and you can delete your account, which removes your associated data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make such a request, contact us at hello@shopvitals.co.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls provided by our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
